GGNUP


 Gnuplot preprocessor/run script ("batch" mode).
 Manipulates, and runs gnuplot on, a gnuplot command file.
 Options specify the action (edit, output type, print postscript output, etc.).
 Formats (like font size) are given by ggnup*.ini files. User ggnup*.ini files 
 can be created and modified on request.


 Usage:
     ggnup help
     ggnup <command_file> [,...] <option>
     ggnup [<option>]            
         (if there is a startup file $HOME/ggnupdefine.txt)
     where:
         <command_file> - gnuplot input file(s) to edit or load to gnuplot.
         <option>       - type of action / type of output.

 Command file format:
     Standard gnuplot commands, except that the "pause ..." commands must be 
     preceded by at least one blank if you want ggnup to enable/disable them 
     automatically as appropriate ("pause -1" stops gnuplot until RETURN is 
     pressed.)
                
 Options:
     e       - edits the <command_file>. If EDITOR is not set, it asks for
               editor.
     x       - X display; "pause" commands are enabled.
     X       - like "x", but first edits your personal 'ggnupx.ini' file.
     ps      - (over)writes `ggnup.ps'. The "pause" commands are disabled.
     PS      - like "ps", but first edits your personal ggnupps.ini file.
     psn     - writes `<command_file>.ps'. The "pause" commands are disabled.
               Does not overwrite another command file's output.
     PSN     - like "psn", but first edits your personal ggnupps.ini file.
     g       - displays `ggnup.ps' (ghostview).
     gn      - displays `<command_file>.ps' (ghostview).
     p       - prints `ggnup.ps' to lp.
     pn      - prints `<command_file>.ps' to lp.
     p2      - as "p", but two pages on one.
     pn2     - as "pn", but two pages on one.
     latexps - makes a PicTeX file, and runs LaTeX and Dvips to get `ggnup.ps'.
               Output files: ggnup.tex (LaTeX picture)
                             ggnup.dvi
                             ggnup.ps
               (all of them usable in TeX, LaTeX in corresponding ways).
     latexpsn - as "latexps", but produces the following files:
               Output files: <command_file>.tex (LaTeX picture)
                             <command_file>.dvi
                             <command_file>.ps
     0       - dumb terminal, useful via modem.
     tek     - Tektronix display (Xterm, or via modem).
     psl     - writes on `ggnup.ps' in landscape mode.

 Startup file:
     $HOME/ggnupdefine.txt, of the form
         set zzzfile   = <filename>
         set zzzoption = <option>
     makes it possible to run ggnup without arguments or the <option> 
     argument only (which overrides $zzzoption, if any).

 An example (recommended):
     File zzz:
         plot x
 	  pause -1
 	 plot x**2
  	  pause -1

     Display in an X window:
         ggnup zzz x

     Make Postscript (personal settings) output, view, and print:
         ggnup zzz PSN           (writes zzz.ps)
 	 ggnup zzz gn
 	 ggnup zzz pn
